Job Descriptions
Community Liaison/Club Captain (Wireplay/blueyonder)
Communitiy Liaisons and Club Captains performed very similar tasks although Community Liaison is a more senior position (as they handle retail games as opposed to 3rd party modifications etc.). They are responsible for the overall well-being of a game's community (for example the Quake community) which includes requesting and setting up games servers, hiring and maintaining admin teams, organising leagues and events (or overseeing them if this to another member), and moderating the game's forum. Most Club Captains report to a Community Liaison.
Server Admin (Wireplay/blueyonder)
Server admins are the people responsible for policing games servers. They enforce the server rules, provide helpful advice to new players, and generally make the servers an enjoyable place to play.
Head Moderator (Nuclear Dawn)
The Head Moderator's role is to oversee the overall well-being and smooth operation of the forums. As the most senior moderator he/she is also tasked with the management of the other forum moderators, formulating and maintaining the forum rules, and dealing with any appeals or complaints about the moderating staff.
News Editor (trickery.net
The News Editors are responsible for checking the grammar, spelling, and general content of all news articles. They are also responsible for moderating the comments in the news forum.
